I was going to mention some aspect of discretion connected to Education, or
to work in the theatre, but as I got to thinking...
ISn't discretion essential to everyone's life? Maybe I'm just more shifty
than most, but it seems like my interactions with everyone i know or meet
requires discretion at some level...
I'm thankful I haven't had many dealings with police officers to know about
rookie cops and cops using discretion. I would think having many lovers,
you would have to be quite discreet, and the lovers would have to be as
well. I would also think you have to have a level of trust in that person
with your private life.
Discretion is a term I take to heart. As much as I blog and write about my
life, there is still a sense of privacy, methinks. Discretion, as in
making logical and personally benefitting responsible decisions, is
something I take very seriously...all about responsibility and owning up to
the things I do in this life. As for being discreet, oh yes. I may like
to talk about my sex life, but never do I use specific names or allude to
anything that could potentially be unsavory for myself or for my lovers.
However, if someone were to ask me point blank, and I weighed whether or
not it would be in best interest to answer truthfully (this is subjective,
since I probably lack most common modesties expected from a woman in our
society), I will. No one likes a person who is not discreet...discretion,
in my opinion is a quality of a truly mature individual.
