Well, I'm stumped. I didn't have any planned topic to write about tonight, as I've used up my most recent list of blogging ideas. I didn't hear about anything all that interesting on the news today, nor did anything particularly blogworthy happen in my life today. Nothing about my past years bubbled to the top of my memory to write about, and I turned up likewise empty-handed from my web surfing looking for blogging fodder.
I suppose I could find some topic that would hit me just right by continuing to surf until something grabbed me, but I'm too tired to do too much work to get an entry tonight. So, I'll just ramble and see where my fingers take me. I've written a few entries this way and they usually don't turn out too badly.
Yesterday, on my day off, I made a trip to the used bookstore to stock up on some paperback books. I didn't find any books that interested me, but I wasn't left empty-handed -- I did leave the store with the phone number of a woman I chatted up while browing the stacks.
I worked tonight and alternated between listening to talk radio, music, and CDs. In between songs while listening to the radio, a stupid, homemade commercial for a car dealership came on with the usual loudmouth dealership owner doing the ad. I figured I'd never buy anything from this particular dealership, as the guy couldn't even properly pronounce the name of the type of cars he sold. I mean, who the hell calls a "Pontiac", a "Poneek"?
I've not slept well for several days -- there's a personal matter I've had on my mind that I'm not ready to write about yet that's been giving me insomnia. I'm getting sleepy now, so I think I'll wrap up the crap here and go to bed.
I hope I come up with a more focused entry tomorrow.
I hope your personal matter is settled shortly. I know how it can rob you
of the zzzzz's.
