Like many people, I know little more than the minimum I need to know to use a computer effectively. I know nothing about coding and very little about HTML, and I'm clueless about how to use such programs as Paint and Photoshop.
However, I like interesting, creative graphics, such as bars and buttons. I've usually had to resort to making crude variations of my own or asking someone more skilled in these areas to help me.
Last night, while looking at site full of pre-made user bars, I found a link to a site that generates professional looking user bars that even techie illiterates like me can use effectively.
The site gives step by step directions and has a function that will blend the colors for you, and also includes choices for grid and shadow functions. It also allows you to upload a selected image of the proper size.
Following are several examples I made for myself. Please vote in the comments and tell me which one you like best:

I like the first and second ones, all depending on whether you want to go
with "Confessions of..." or just "Libertine." They're darker, which is what
I like about them. Three and four are too light, I think. Five's okay.
