Review of Hogan's Heroes - The Complete Third Season
My son bought me the complete third season to Hogan's Heroes as a birthday gift, because he knew that this had been one of my favorite TV shows as a kid. The season comes as a five disk set.
Watching these old episodes again, which I've probably not seen since watching them in reruns 30+ years ago, was a great trip down memory lane. Though the passage of time both personally and in a general sense has given me a different perspective on the less sophisticated humor of the time, I still enjoyed watching and what I found to be the funniest parts at nine years old, still made me laugh the hardest now.
Many old TV shows are now available on DVD and I highly recommend them. It's a fine way of capturing and being able to relive treasured childhood moments.
The first two seasons of Hogan's Heroes are also available, and I'm hoping that seasons four and five will soon be released, as I intend to collect the whole set.
I remember watching Hogan's Heroes on reruns while I was growing up! I
always enjoyed the show, it's been a long time since I've seen it.
I think Hogan's Hero's theme song was one of the coolest ever! I haven't
seen a rerun of that show in probably 15 years. How nice of your son!
Yikes. Never liked the Heroes...my family loved it, but it made me crazy.
That series rocked! My dad liked it a lot, too. It's cool that so many
old TV series are coming out on DVD in their entirety. Time to buy them
and chuck all the grainy VHS tapes from the '70s! ;^)
I loved that show as a kid. Did you know that Robert Clary (LeBeau) was
actually a concentration camp survivor?
I remember watching this as a kid and even though I didn't understand all
the humour I still loved it because I liked all the characters.
